I attended a lecture titled "Sigma Sessions" delivered by Dr. T. Ramalingeswara Rao, Senior Data Scientist and Senior Researcher at Advanced Quantz & Analytics (AQuA), TCS, in April 2025.

The event was organized by Anant – The Mathematical Society, NIT Kurukshetra. Dr. Rao shared valuable insights into the application of mathematics and statistics in data science, analytics, and industry-led research. The session emphasized real-world problem-solving using advanced mathematical models, machine learning techniques, and data-driven decision-making strategies.

It offered a practical perspective on how theoretical concepts are implemented in corporate R&D, especially within the tech and analytics sector. The lecture served as a bridge between academic mathematics and industry innovation, broadening my understanding of interdisciplinary applications.

I attended a lecture titled "Diffusion Driven Instability – An Intro: The Art of Diffusion and Nonlinear PDEs", organized by Anant – The Mathematical Society, at Senate Hall, NIT Kurukshetra, on March 7, 2025.

The session was delivered by Prof. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Department of Mathematics, IIT Madras.

The talk focused on the interaction between reaction and diffusion in nonlinear PDEs and how small perturbations can lead to complex instabilities. Real-world applications discussed included the formation of animal coat patterns, fingerprints, butterfly wings, and seashell structures. The lecture provided deep insights into mathematical modeling in nature, illustrating how nonlinear systems explain the spontaneous emergence of order through diffusion-driven instabilities. It was both intellectually stimulating and visually engaging.

I attended a lecture titled "Vedic Mathematics – Vedic Intelligence", delivered by Dr. Rakesh Bhatia in March 2025, organized by Anant – The Mathematical Society, NIT Kurukshetra. The lecture focused on the ancient Indian system of Vedic Mathematics, which offers elegant and efficient techniques for mental calculations and problem-solving. Dr. Bhatia introduced several key sutras and demonstrated how they can simplify complex arithmetic and algebraic operations. The session emphasized the relevance of these traditional methods in today’s fast-paced computational world and encouraged participants to explore mathematical thinking beyond conventional approaches. This lecture not only enhanced my understanding of alternative mathematical frameworks but also inspired me to incorporate intuitive methods in both learning and teaching mathematics. It was an enriching academic experience.
